WALNUT COMMON BR

A large growing deciduous tree that produces edible Walnuts. Cropping generally starts when the tree is 5-6 years old, but doesn't peak for 15-20 years. The fruit is produced in a green husk that turns brown as it matures in Autumn. The nut has a thin, but hard crinkled shell containing the flesh, which has a rich, buttery, crumbly texture.

- Prefers moist, but well drained soil
- Intolerant of wet sites and high humidity
- Generally free of serious pest and disease problems
- Grows 15m H x 12m W
