Pineapple quince is a very old variety, vigorous growing tree, extra large leaves, fruit harvests late and has pineapple aroma,  Large, pale yellow fruit.

COMMENTS:

Not usually eaten as fresh fruit as it is too acid, but stewed it becomes soft and tender with a pink color and has a delicious flavour and aroma. Used in preserves and jellies. Prefers a sheltered position away from winds. Suitable in temperate climates, a hardy vigorous growing tree.
