PEAR PACKHAMS BR

A deciduous fruiting tree producing prolific amounts of spring blossom and flavoursome pears, the trees are very pretty in flower and also long lived, fruiting for many years. Packhams pear was bred in Australia, and is sometimes called Improved Williams. The firm, ripe pears store well and can be ripened in cool dry areas, and are ideal for use in desserts, sauces, stwed, bottled, dried, in fruit salad or cakes.

Features and care:
- Full sun
- Cross pollinators: Winter Nelis, Winter Cole, Josephine or Howell
- Will grow in average garden soils, but will thrive in organic rich soil
- Water over warmest months by regular deep soaking
- Pick when fully formed but firm, around two weeks before fully ripe

Please only order online if you intend to pick your trees up the same day - bare root stock will be held at the Haddon or Warrnambool nursery until Close of Business on day of purchase; if not picked up, monies will be refunded and trees put back into stock.
