Also known as the American White, this tree produces large round brown nutswith a thin shell. Very hiigh in protein they grow in clusters and are perfect fresh or used for roasting. They are an upright growing tree and the nuts mature in late February to early March. Suggested Pollinators: Cosford. Although both male and female flowers are borne on the same tree they don't always flower at the same time.

Features and care:
- Plant in a well drained and well worked soil.
- Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level.
- Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established.
- Fertilse when planting to encourage new growth.
