DESCRIPTION:

This popular variety of hazelnut is a favourite among home gardeners. Heavy bearing tree, producing large tasty nuts. Eaten fresh and for roasting and cooking.

MATURITY:

Late February to early March.

SUGGESTED POLLINATORS:

 Cosford, Halls Giant, Wanliss Pride. Although both male and female flowers are borne on the same tree, they don’t always flower at the same time. Planting different varieties will assist with pollination.

COMMENTS:

 Hazelnuts are very high in protein. An upright growing tree that prefers temperate climates. 5m x 4m.
