Mariposa plum is a round chill, heavy cropping Japanese plum which produces medium to large fruit in mid January. It produces sweet, blood red fleshed, freestone plums with aunique dark red speckled skin. This is a prolific bearing variety that will require staking and is ideal for eating fresh, stewing preserving and making jam. A low maiintenance tree perfect for confined spaces, pots and tubs on a patio or balcony, and is deal for teaching kids how to look after their own fruit tree.Pollinators include Laroda, Santa Rosa and Satsuma Plums.
