CERCIS CANADENSIS AVONDALE 400MM

A very showy cultivar, with heavily textured dark green, heart shaped leaves that turn yellow-green to brown in autumn. Before the leaves emerge in spring, abundant clusters of beautiful deep rose-purple 'pea' type flowers are borne along the bare branches; they can also fruit prolifically with seed pods that are 75-120mm long turning reddish to brown, which can hold onto the tree into winter.
