A very hardy deciduous medium to tall deciduous tree. It is smooth barked, with dense foliage of fine toothed green that turn a vibrant yellow in Autumn, and resesmbles the Beech tree in many ways. Widely used in landscape gardening as a feature tree, and as tall hedges.
