West Coast Gem is also known as the lilac Native Hibiscus. It is a fast growing, evergreen shrub with decorative, deeply cut foliage and profusion of silky, rich lilac purple flowers that bloom in Spring and Summer. They are ideal for native gardens, and for mixed shrub beds, and excellent for adding colour to hot, dry spots.

- Tolerant of light shade, but flowers best in full sun
- Moderately frost tolerant
