A beautiful weeping deciduous tree, where the pendulous branches are usually grafted onto standard trunks. Its double deep pink flowers bloom in clusters freely produced in spring, creating a showy effect when established. Young leaves are reddish bronze, becoming green when mature, turning to shades of yellow, orange and scarlet in autumn. It makes an excellent feature tree in a lawn or mixed shrub and perennial bead, and are beautiful as paired feature trees.
