MALUS TSCHONOSKII CRAB APPLE BR

Foliage: Dark green broadly ovate leaves with a grey, felty underside. The new growth is silvery-green and the autumn colour is a very attractive purplish orange to yellow.
Flowers: White flowers with a slight pink tinge in umbels of four to six. Not showy. Rarely
observed in Australia.
Fruit: Fairly sparse, brownish yellow fruits up to 25 mm in diameter,
Culture: Suited to a wide range of soil conditions but prefers a moist, well-drained, acidic soil: Overseas reports indicate good resistance to apple scab and powdery mildew. Does
not require routine pruning.
