A spreading, small tree with interesting, furrowed bark; the tiny leaves are seen as teeth at nodes. When flowering, the trees take on an ornate, rusty appearance; the new growth tends to weep, giving the tree an elegant appearance. They are ideal for shade, shelter belt and habitat plant, and can be used to great effect when grown in a copse.
