Satsuma Plum is a popular variety of Japanese plum that produces medium sized, round, blood red flesh, delicious fruit and has a cling stone with excellent cropping for inland and coastal areas. It is a prolific bearer and so will require staking. Requires pollinationfrom Santa Rosa or Mariposa.
An Ideal plum for eating fresh, stewing, preserving and making jam. It is a low maintenance plant ideal for confined spaces, pots or tubs on the patio because of its dwarf size, also ideal for teaching kids how to look after their own fruit tree.
